Turn Turn Turn Based! Development Update 04/06/2025

4 June 2026 Tayler Parsons

Hello all,

As we enter the month of June, we wish to share some of our current progress on our debut title ‘Turn Turn Turn Based!’.

Currently, we are making large strides to finishing up the initial demo build, we are currently finishing up the flow of the tutorial and polishing to ensure that it functions as intended.

Our artist has been hard at work with overhauling the overall feel and aesthetics of the game. The art style is now approaching that what was initially envisioned, that being a PS1-style aesthetic. This includes vertex snapping and dithering (example below).

We have also been slowly making progress on localising our game. Due to the amount of languages we wish to target, we may not be able to localise the entire game in all of these languages in-house, we are looking for people who who have either a first-language or fluent-speaking basis who may be interested in helping, you will be credited.

The list of languages we wish to target is:

English
French
Spanish
Portuguese
German
Italian
Norwegian
Russian
Arabic
Chinese (Simplified)
Chinese (Traditional)
Japanese
Korean
Hindi

If you are interested, then please contact us at [email protected]

While we can not divulge any information about the release of the demo, or the game proper, we do want to express that we are working very hard, as often as we can. The Grey Cat Games Team is one of students, the majority of which are still enrolled / doing masters, and therefore, we hope you can understand that some of us must prioritise our education over this game. Saying that, we do all work as often as we can.

Finally, we wish to share a few screenshots of the game so far!

(please remember that these are in-development screenshots, these do not represent the finalised game.)
